The purple cut of the same mermaid dress, with a deeper shell colour and a cooler sheen on the scale panel. Children who already own a pink gown tend to choose this one so the two do not look like the same dress twice.
How it fits
Four sizes are listed, 4T through 8 years. The waist is elasticated and the bodice is lined, so it can be worn over a vest in a cold hall without any of the seams showing through.
Where it gets worn
Purple holds its colour under stage lighting better than pink, which is why I suggest it for school performances and indoor parties. It is also the quieter of the two for a child who wants to be in costume without being the loudest thing in the room.

Mermaid costume honest review
This hit all the qualifications for a perfect mermaid costume. My daughter loves the colors and the accessories that came with it are a plus. We got this for Halloween but she has been wearing it since it came in the mail. The bottom portion of the outfit is a nice stretchy fabric to allow kids to be comfortable while playing. The fit is true to size. I did size up just so that my almost 4 year…

Great for the price
This costume is super cute and well made. My daughter loves all of the accessories. She does say it is difficult to walk in. I wish it was a little wider at the bottom as shown in the image.

Where this sits among the Funna princess dress costumes
These are costumes, not everyday clothes, and the difference is the whole point. A school dress is designed to survive a term; a princess dress for girls is designed to survive a birthday. Knowing which you are buying saves disappointment later, so every card I collected says plainly how the fabric feels, how the sizing runs, and how beautiful it does or does not look once it is on a moving child.
Dress-up play is not decoration. A child who puts on a gown steps into a kingdom she invented herself: she becomes a queen, pretends her way through an enchanted afternoon and explores a personality a size too large for her. Imagination does that work, and it is the magical part. Halloween and birthday parties are the loudest days of it, but most of the wear happens on a wet Tuesday with nobody watching.
There are no ads here and I run the pages myself, so if you cannot find one of the styles you expected, the listing went quiet — nobody paid for the slot. Have fun with it; imagination does the rest.
