Whispers We Keep

What this site stores about visitors, which is close to nothing Part of the Funna wardrobe of princess dress costumes.

This site is static HTML with one small script in it. It does not know who you are, and I have gone out of my way to keep it that way.

No accounts, no forms, no basket

There is nothing on this site to sign up for, nothing to log into and nothing to pay for. There is no contact form — the contact page gives an email address instead, precisely so that nothing has to be collected and stored here.

Cookies

This site sets no cookies of its own. The script that runs on each page opens product links in a new tab and switches the photograph on a product page. It stores nothing and sends nothing anywhere.

What the host sees

The pages are served by a hosting provider, and like every web server on earth it records standard request logs — an address, a timestamp, a page path, a browser string. I do not have a dashboard over those logs and I do not use them to build any profile of anybody. There is no analytics script on these pages.

Third-party pages

When you press a button and a product listing opens, you have left this site. That retailer's own privacy policy governs everything that happens from that point, including any cookies it sets and any data it collects. I have no visibility into it and no control over it.

Email

If you write to me, I have your message and your address, because that is how email works. I keep it as long as the conversation is useful and then delete it. I do not add anybody to a mailing list, because there is no mailing list.

Children

Every page here addresses the grown-up holding the card, never the girl who will wear the gown. Nothing on the wardrobe is aimed at a child, and nothing is collected from anybody of any age.

Where this sits among the Funna princess dress costumes

The wardrobe is small on purpose. I would rather keep two dozen Funna princess dress costumes for girls properly described than list two hundred and let them rot. Each was collected, read against its own listing and designed to be understood in a minute, including how the hem runs and how the lining feels against the everyday clothes worn underneath. If a dress stops being worth its money it leaves the shelf, however beautiful it looks in the photograph, and whatever the birthday calendar says.

Give a child a gown and she will not simply wear it; she will pretend in it. She explores a kingdom of her own making, appoints herself queen, and tries on a personality for the afternoon. Dress-up play is the cheapest imagination there is. Halloween and birthday parties get the photographs, but the enchanted, magical hours happen quietly and far more often.

No ads run on these pages and nobody pays to sit near the top, so when one of the styles disappears it is because the listing did. Find the size first, have fun with the rest, and let imagination do the heavy lifting.
