The pink mermaid costume: a fitted bodice, a tail-shaped skirt that still allows walking, and a shell motif at the waist. Funna builds this one with a split in the underskirt so a child can climb stairs without gathering the whole thing in both hands.
How it fits
Five sizes run from 3T to 8 years. The skirt is longest at the back, which is what gives the tail its line, so a child near the top of a size band will get a sweeping hem rather than a dragging one.
Where it gets worn
Accessories are included. Pink reads warmer in photographs than the purple version and is the easier choice for a summer party outdoors; the purple is better under indoor light. Either way, a wig turns it from a dress into a costume.

Mermaid costume honest review
This hit all the qualifications for a perfect mermaid costume. My daughter loves the colors and the accessories that came with it are a plus. We got this for Halloween but she has been wearing it since it came in the mail. The bottom portion of the outfit is a nice stretchy fabric to allow kids to be comfortable while playing. The fit is true to size. I did size up just so that my almost 4 year…

Great for the price
This costume is super cute and well made. My daughter loves all of the accessories. She does say it is difficult to walk in. I wish it was a little wider at the bottom as shown in the image.

Where this sits among the Funna princess dress costumes
These are costumes, not everyday clothes, and the difference is the whole point. A school dress is designed to survive a term; a princess dress for girls is designed to survive a birthday. Knowing which you are buying saves disappointment later, so every card I collected says plainly how the fabric feels, how the sizing runs, and how beautiful it does or does not look once it is on a moving child.
What a gown is really for is the pretend hour. The kingdom gets built on the stairs, the queen gives orders to the cat, and a personality nobody has met before explores the hallway. Dress-up play of that sort feeds imagination better than most toys, and it does not stop at Halloween — birthday parties and ordinary enchanted afternoons take the magical part just as seriously.
This wardrobe carries no ads and is run by one person, which is why styles can take a week to appear and a day to vanish. Find the right size, have fun, and trust imagination to supply the rest of the kingdom.
